A Request At Seacrest Studios

As a part of our efforts for delivering the healing power of music to children, Musicians On Call is proud to partner with Seacrest Studios in childrens hospitals across the country. Our volunteer will come into their in-facility studio, where the program is broadcasted throughout the hospital. Patients can call in, ask questions for the artist to answer, and even join in at the studio itself!

Recently, volunteer musician Lea Kram joined in on a Seacrest Studios program at Children’s National Medical Center program in D.C.

Morgan Hall, the studio manager at Children’s National, witnessed the program and saw how live music can still be healing, even if they aren’t technically in the room together.

Here is what Morgan had to say about the program!

Lea Kram was FANTASTIC! She interacted with a patient on-air who was getting treatment in a clinic. The patient requested her favorite One Direction song and Lea set her planned song list to the side and just started playing and singing with the patient over the phone! It was a wonderful moment!

Music can clearly build strong connections, even over the phone. Thanks, Morgan, for sharing your story with us!

Have you been visited by one of our volunteer musicians? Tell us all about it! We can’t wait to hear how our volunteers helped deliver the healing power of music.
