Chicago rocked out at the B.B. King Blues Club & Grill on November 28 to raise funds for Musicians on Call (MOC) - a nonprofit that brings live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare facilities. The band performed all its smash hits in an intimate setting including “Saturday In The Park," "25 for 6 to 4," and "You’re the Inspiration."
Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, MOC will continue over 40 weekly Bedside Performance programs throughout New York. MOC auctioned off autographed guitars from Bruce Springsteen and Chicago, and gave away fabulous raffle prizes. MOC also auctioned a once-in-a-lifetime experience – to sing Chicago's hit, “If You Leave Me Now,” on stage with the band.
MOC Executive Director, Dr. Leslie Faerstein, announced the launch of the “Rock A Patient’s World” initiative - where a company or individual(s) can sponsor a hospital room ensuring that patient a visit by a musician every week for one year through the MOC Bedside Performance Program. The $500 sponsorship includes a decorative keepsake for your home or office and you are able to choose which of the 18 New York facilities to support, or facilities in Nashville and Miami. Musicians On Call would like to thank all the supporters and volunteers who contributed to the success of the event. Stay up to date with upcoming events and news by signing up for MOC Backstage Updates.
