On Thursday, March 17th, the patients of The Montefiore Children’s Hospital had a lucky St. Patrick’s Day! New York’s top radio personality Elvis Duran stopped by with American Idol winner Nick Fradiani to perform at the bedsides of patients throughout the hospital. Fradiani performed acoustic versions of songs off his upcoming album, including his single, “Beautiful Life.” The following morning, the American Idol winner stopped by the Elvis Duran in the Morning Show to talk about his experience. You can watch that interview below.

In these times, whenever we can just try to come together, I think, is a beautiful thing. It was just a fun thing that I was hoping that would brighten some people's days. And I had a really good time doing it, honestly. What they've been able to build is really special.
Being part of Musicians On Call was special & unique in so many ways. I'm still amazed when I hear what my songs mean to others and it motivates me to keep up my writing. Helping people put words to how they feel is a special gift.
Being involved with Musicians On Call has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I consider it a great gift to be able to share music and bring smiles to these brave children and their loved ones. It is healing for us all and I can't wait to do it again!
I think all musicians should do this. I think everyone could do it no matter what music genre you play from. You see people in the hospital all the time, you're a visitor. To me, to be a part of their day for a minute is a great experience. This is a day I will never forget.
You can actually see and feel a change when it happens and it is one of my favorite things in the world to be a part of.
It's an amazing experience to go into a room to play music for people who are in a situation where they can use music as medicine.
What made me decide to come here today was the invitation from Musicians On Call. I can't even begin to tell you how much I admire and respect the work they do and what an honor it is to be a part of it.
I thank Musicians On Call and the whole fabric of what its about - Me being a musician and being able to participate and knowing this is going on in so many hospital rooms across the country and knowing this is spreading so much love and joy.
You're just alone in a room that doesn't know anything about you. It's spoken to me truly better than any other musical experience I've had.
Musicians On Call is a truly inspiring organization and the smiles that they bring to patients and families is immeasurable.
There’s nothing like going to see those kids and using the gift that I have and the platform that I have to bring smiles to their faces.
I have volunteered for Musicians on Call for the past 13 years because of the incredible one-on-one experiences in hospital rooms when no one other than the patient and I would remember the love that was exchanged.
I enjoy Musicians On Call because it strips down the performing aspect of music to its most basic function - to share, to heal, to inspire. It's just you and another person sharing an intimate moment that is actually bigger than the both of you.
Musicians On Call is thrilled to have Rachel Platten join us for a special Bedside Performance Program visit to Children’s Hospital at Montefiore.Today Show crews went behind the scenes as Rachel went room to room to play at the bedsides of patients. The singer serenaded Veterans with his hits including “Sara Smile” and “Do You Believe Me Now” at MOC’s Bedside Performance Program, where volunteer musicians across the country have delivered the healing power of music to nearly half a million patients, families and caregivers.
