Musicians On Call’s Vir

In honor of famed guitarist, songwriter and inventor Les Paul’s birthday on June 9, Musicians On Call hosted a special virtual program for pediatric hospitals. Patients at Children’s Hospital Colorado, Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and St. Louis Children’s Hospital tuned in to see Volunteer Musicians Ken Knowlton, Sam Hatmaker and Stephanie Jacques share stories of Les Paul’s life and perform the music he created and influenced. Their support of MOC programming is providing a vital line of funding to ensure that music does not disappear for those patients, family members, and caregivers on the frontlines in hospitals across the US. Les Paul Foundation The Les Paul Foundation is providing an instrumental source of support for MOC’s COVID-19 response through a national Virtual Bedside Performance Program partnership. This partnership is enabling MOC to open virtual doors and reach patients, caregivers and healthcare staff in 8 US states with recurring live music performances amongst the challenges and weight of pandemic hospitalization. Musicians On Call Brings

From June 13 – 16 music fans descended on Manchester, Tennessee for the annual Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. Fans got an added dose of music this year as Musicians On Call partnered with the Bonnaroo Works Fund to bring the healing power of music to the festival. Each day at the Roo Works Cafe fans had the opportunity to enjoy coffee and the talents of six of Nashville’s Volunteer Musicians. April Kry, Drew Dixon, Dylan Rokoff, Daniel Ethridge, Liz Bohannon and Lindsay Ellyn each performed solo sets as well as writers’ rounds together at the end of the day. As a part of the Phantom Of The Opera‘s 30th year on Broadway, the show is gave back to support the healing power of music! For their anniversary show, Phantom sold tickets with a special code, which had proceeds benefiting Musicians On Call. Warner Music Nashville recording artist Michael Ray joins in the celebration to launch programs that deliver the healing power of music Musicians On Call officially launched its latest weekly Bedside Performance Programs at Sunrise Health System hospitals today in Las Vegas. The programs are made possible through a $150,000 endowment from ACM Lifting Lives®, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music. The launch event, which took place at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, included a special performance by Warner Music Nashville recording artist Michael Ray for the hospital’s patients and caregivers. ACM Lifting Lives partners with Musicians On Call to launch regular Bedside Performance Program with Sunrise Health in Las Vegas in 2018 Musicians On Call has received a $150,000 grant from ACM Lifting Lives®, the philanthropic arm of the Academy of Country Music, to bring its Bedside Performance Program to patients, families and caregivers in Las Vegas. Musicians On Call’s Bedside Performance Program brings live, in-room performances by Volunteer Musicians to patients undergoing treatment or unable to leave their beds. Since 1999, Musicians On Call has performed for over 625,000 patients, families and caregivers in 17 major markets across the country.
