Musicians On Call Hoists

WWE selected Musicians On Call as a Community Champion for its SummerSlam event in Nashville on July 30! In partnership with Pure Life, WWE made a financial donation to our mission in honor of the impact MOC has throughout Middle Tennessee. This recognition was spotlighted during the global broadcast of WWE’s second-largest show of the year. As part of the SummerSlam Community Champion Showcase, we also received our very own custom replica WWE Title, presented to us by WWE Superstar Titus O’Neil. Musicians On Call’s Vice President of Operations Elizabeth Black was recognized on MusicRow’s 2022 N.B.T. (Next Big Thing) Industry Directory for her leadership over MOC’s HR and accounting departments and her ingenuity in advancing the use of technology within our organization. Musicians On Call is Vote

For the 2021 Salute to Excellence Awards, hosted by the Center for Nonprofit Management in Nashville, a new awards category was created to further honor the important work of area nonprofits. The first-ever People’s Choice Leadership Award recognized outstanding nonprofit leadership and community support during the difficulties of 2020 and 2021. Out of over 100 applications received, eight finalists were chosen for community voting. Musicians On Call was selected as one of those finalists, recognized for the impact of our virtual programs, delivering smiles and comfort in hospitals during the toughest circumstances imaginable. The Healing Power of Musi

As fans from near and far descended on Nissan Stadium in Nashville to watch the Tennessee Titans take on the Buffalo Bills for Monday Night Football, the Titans shared the spotlight with Musicians On Call as part of its participation in the NFL’s Crucial Catch campaign. The Titans and sponsor Wesley Mortgage selected MOC to be the featured Community Hero during the game for our work delivering the healing power of music to hospitalized patients, including those battling cancer. During the game the Titans shared the stories and impact of MOC’s programs, and the MOC team had the opportunity to attend the game and give a wave on the big screen from the Wesley Mortgage Deck. Musicians On Call was recognized in The Nashville Business Journal’s 2021 Best in Business Awards and named the winner in the Nonprofit/Institution category! MOC was selected because of how we rose to the challenges of 2020 and expanded our virtual programs to increase our reach to patients, families and caregivers in Middle Tennessee. MOC and American Hospital

For National Hospital Week, May 9-15, and its theme Inspiring Hope through Healing, Musicians On Call and the American Hospital Association (AHA) teamed up to produce an original song and video that honors the commitment of hospital and healthcare workers. Featuring the vocal and songwriting talents of MOC Volunteer Musician Brailey Lenderman, and co-written and produced by hit songwriter Chris Sligh (“Here Comes Goodbye” – Rascal Flatts), “Worth Fighting For” is a song that was inspired by the words of hospital staff at AHA’s hospitals and health systems nationwide. As part of the songwriting process, Brailey met virtually with hospital workers including nurses, doctors, pharmacy managers and environmental services staff, facilitated by MOC’s Virtual Bedside Performance Program, where they shared moments of joy and struggles they faced during the pandemic.
