Musicians On Call and Sou

Through our partnership with Southwest Airlines, Musicians On Call brought smiles and the music of Former Major League Baseball Pitcher and Volunteer Musician Barry Zito to the children and families at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. The partnership was formed as part of Southwest Airlines’ Medical Transportation Grant Program, which provides travel for patients to nonprofit hospitals around the country. Musicians On Call has been bringing the healing power of music to the patients, families and caregivers at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital since 2016. To date, our volunteers have performed for more than 1,200 individuals. “I became a Volunteer Musician to give back. She was a talented executive and a remarkably philanthropic person. I met Pam when she succeeded me as board president of Komen for the Cure. In Response To The Bay Ar

Dear MOC Family, Last Friday, we lost some members of our community to yet another act of senseless violence at a VA facility in Northern California. While this shooting did not occur at a facility where Musicians On Call has programs, its victims, Christine Loeber, Jennifer Golick, and Jennifer Gonzales, died while serving as healthcare providers to our Veteran community in the Bay Area. Jennifer also spent time working at a different VA facility in San Francisco where we do have programs, reminding us all how this violence affects so many and can hit too close to home. While I didn’t know the victims personally, as someone who has spent years working in the veterans, healthcare and nonprofit communities, I can attest to the fact that people like Christine Loeber, […]
