Southwest Brings The Heal

Continuing Southwest’s partnership with Musicians On Call, Lenox Hill Hospital was visited by Volunteer Musicians Alexis Babini and Emily Afton to spread some holiday cheer! They played classic holiday jingles while showing Southwest an exclusive behind the scenes to our program. Country artist Brandon Ra

With his cheerful music and welcoming demeanor, country music artist Brandon Ray lit up rooms and brought joy to patients at Children’s Hospital Colorado, both at their bedsides and during a stop at the hospital’s Seacrest Studios. The visit was possible thanks to Musicians On Call’s ongoing partnership with Southwest Airlines’ Medical Transportation Grant Program. Musicians On Call and Sou

Through our partnership with Southwest Airlines, Musicians On Call brought smiles and the music of Former Major League Baseball Pitcher and Volunteer Musician Barry Zito to the children and families at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. The partnership was formed as part of Southwest Airlines’ Medical Transportation Grant Program, which provides travel for patients to nonprofit hospitals around the country. Musicians On Call has been bringing the healing power of music to the patients, families and caregivers at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital since 2016. Musicians On Call Teams U

Musicians On Call teamed up with Southwest Airlines® to bring music to the Southwest Porch at Bryant Park through Musicians On Call’s Volunteer Spotlight Concert. With the help of Musicians On Call Volunteer Musicians Ashley King, Dan Rauchwerk and Alexis Babini, guests were treated to special performances of their favorite cover songs to sing for patients in hospitals and a few original tunes. Volunteer Guides Suzanne Arrabito and Sandy Lyon also shared touching testimonials about their inspiring experience volunteering with the organization. MOC and Southwest Airline

To celebrate MOC’s one year anniversary in Phoenix, member of the E Street Band and friend of Musicians On Call, Nils Lofgren, and his wife Amy, stopped by Phoenix Children’s Hospital and shared a performance with the patients and their families. The show, which took place in The Zone and broadcasted through closed circuit tv throughout the hospital, featured his track “Wonderland” and covers of Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds,” Sam Cooke’s “It’s a Wonderful World” and Neil Young’s “Long May You Run.” He also took questions from the audience about his life as a touring musician. MOC and Southwest Airline

Musicians On Call teamed up with Southwest Airlines® to bring the healing power of music to patients in Nashville. With the help of RED BOW Records/ BBR Music Group Recording Artist, Brooke Eden, patients, families, and caregivers at Vanderbilt University Medical Center were treated to a special Bedside Performance Program where Brooke performed her own song, “American Dreamin.” The visit was the first of three special Bedside Performance Programs that MOC will partner with Southwest to host at hospitals with grant recipients of the Southwest Airlines Medical Transportation Grant Program (MTGP). Through the MTGP, Southwest provides complimentary, roundtrip tickets to nonprofit hospitals and medical transportation organizations to benefit patients who need to travel for specialized medical care.
