Meet Colleen Taylor, Our Featured Volunteer from Atlanta!

Get to know our volunteers!

Do you volunteer at a specific hospital? Veterans Hospital

How long have you been volunteering with Musicians On Call? 6 months

Are you a volunteer guide or musician? Guide

What is your occupation outside of MOC? MightyLoud Entertainment where I work with radio stations.

Do you have any hidden talents? Yes—refurbishing old furniture- started with an ottoman and usually have a project going at all times—lol

What is your story? What connects you with music and why do you volunteer with MOC? Most of my adult life I have worked in the recording industry in marketing & promotion. Once I had found out about Musicians on call I new it would be a great fit for me.

What makes MOC different from your other volunteer experiences? For me, the stories of each veteran is amazing; each individual gave their time to our country; such a huge gift to all US citizens—I feel so grateful each time.

Has your life changed because of your experience with Musicians On Call? More gratitude towards veterans and have also started working for someone who partners with the VFW to raise awareness to their unmet needs program.

What is your favorite #MOCmoment? Before I volunteered, we had a request for a band I was working with -Judah and the Lion;
It was from MOC in Dallas. I brought the band to Dallas Children’s Hospital and they played for so many kids. One young boy was so happy his toes were dancing. It was filmed by MOC. That was the day I learned about MOC and I knew I wanted to volunteer
