Musicians On Call is preparing to launch its first Bedside Performance Program in San Jose. Thanks to financial support from the Valley Medical Center Foundation and Good Samaritan Hospital, programs will be held regularly at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center and Good Samaritan.

On Thursday, November 29, Musicians On Call (MOC) and Warner Music Nashville’s rising superstar and 3-time CMA nominee Chris Janson visited patients at their bedsides at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. This visit was Janson’s first opportunity to play for patients in local healthcare facilities and experience the healing power of music through MOC’s Bedside Performance Program, and the first program of its kind to happen in the San Jose area.

We are looking for Volunteer Guides and Volunteer Musicians to help us deliver the healing power of music in San Jose. As a volunteer with Musicians On Call, you can brighten the days of patients – a truly rewarding experience.

Volunteer Guides escort Volunteer Musicians bed to bed and room to room as they perform for patients. Volunteers must commit to volunteering one visit each month for at least one year. All volunteers must fulfill Musicians On Call’s training process, which includes an application, orientation and quiz. Volunteers Guides will need to complete additional clearances from the hospital including a hospital orientation and health screening.

As we continue to expand in San Jose, financial support is needed. You can help support our program in San Jose and expand to more facilities in the San Jose area by making a gift or starting a fundraising page with your community. Because Musicians On Call is a nonprofit organization, we rely upon the incredible generosity of supporters like you!
