La Música Cura is an unforgettable night celebrating the healing power of music in Miami with Musicians On Call (MOC). Since 1999, Musicians On Call volunteers have delivered the joys of live music to over 1,000,000 patients, families and caregivers across the country, including South Florida. This vibrant event will celebrate MOC’s impact and honor the champions who have supported our local Miami programs.
The night’s honorees include longtime supporter and National Board of Directors member Michelle Frohlich-Klinger receiving the Leadership in Music Golden Ukulele. Michelle launched the Miami branch of Musicians On Call in 2009 and remained Program Director until 2012 and recruited over 100 volunteer Guides and Musicians.
Nine-time Latin GRAMMY award winner Fonseca will also be honored with the Music Heals Golden Ukulele. He has supported MOC as a Volunteer Musician, performing at the bedside of patients and bringing music to those who need it most.
Two long-standing volunteers will also be honored that night. Beth Behr will receive the Vivek J. Tiwary Volunteer Guide Golden Ukulele and Bryant Del Toro will receive the Michael Solomon Volunteer Musician Golden Ukulele.
La Música Cura will feature live performances and appearances by Fonseca, Carmen DeLeon, PJ Kids and more!
