Musicians On Call (MOC) delivers live and recorded music to the bedsides of patients in healthcare environments. By sharing live, in-room performances with patients undergoing treatment or unable to leave their beds, we add a dose of joy to life in a healthcare facility. Since 1999, Musicians On Call Volunteer Musicians have performed for over 1,000,000 patients,families and caregivers.

We are looking for interns for who can commit to a 10 week internship, at minimum. Intern candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate program and receive academic credit for their internship.

 This internship will take place in-person at MOC Headquarters in Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities:

  • Shadow multiple office positions and train in a variety of tasks
  • Research and organize information in the areas of music, industry talent, and healthcare to assist with organizational development and expansion
  • Assist in preparing information and research materials for presentations
  • Assist with data entry and help create reports and spreadsheets 
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment 
  • Assist in copywriting related to MOC programs
  • Event assistance and support, as needed

Requirements:

  • Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in a related field 
  • Seeking experience for academic credit fulfillment
  • The ideal candidate will be very personable, highly organized, have a sharp eye for detail, possess great time management skills, and maintain professionalism at all times 
  • Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
  • Ability to prioritize projects, work independently, meet deadlines, manage several projects simultaneously and work well under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Passion for and interest in learning more about the nonprofit world, music industry, healthcare, or related field(s) preferred.
