What is your occupation outside of MOC? “I work as a Technical Project Manager on the App Store for Apple.“
What is your story? What connects you with music and why do you volunteer with MOC? “I spent the first thirteen years of my career in the Music industry working at record labels, which is how I found out about MOC. Now that I’m no longer working in Music, it’s a wonderful way to have music be a meaningful positive influence in my life. I also love that my connection with music allows me to give back to my community.“
Has your life changed because of your experience with MOC? “Volunteering with MOC makes me very conscious of health and the fortune of having it. It makes me feel gratitude every day.”
What is your favorite #MOCmoment? “We recently had a kid who after hearing the musician play, wanted to get out his violin and play for us. It took a while for him to get set up, and several additional minutes for him to actually start playing. We were on the verge of having to go to the next room and all of a sudden he began playing — a moving technical piece with lots of minor chords, achingly beautiful. He was beaming as we left the room, it was an amazing moment.“
