Have you ever been part of an impromptu jam session with patients or family in a hospital room? Yes, with patients singing along, B-Boy 45 hosts jamming and other musicians who were shadowing.
Do you perform anywhere else besides with MOC? Yes, as a solo artist and with my band. We perform all over Colorado and do national tours.
What is your occupation outside of MOC? I am a musician and install solar panels part-time.
Do You Have Any Hidden Talents? I am a pretty good dancer.
What is your story? What connects you with music and why do you volunteer with MOC? I have been playing music since I was 11. My parents both love music and got me into all types of music from an early age. I love writing and performing original material. In 2014 I was a finalist on America’s Got Talent. This was my biggest audience moment with music. I volunteer with Musicians On Call because I am able to bring hope and happiness to amazing kids through an awesome program.
What makes MOC different from your other volunteer experiences? MOC is incredibly gratifying. It is one of the most joyful volunteering experiences I have ever had.
Has your life changed because of your experience with MOC? MOC has opened my eyes to the strength of so many kids going through very tough journeys. I have also realized the awesome job done by Children’s Hospital staff and healthcare providers. MOC has given me a deeper love for working and volunteering with kids.
What is your favorite #MOCmoment? My favorite #MOCmoment was improvising a song for a young girl who was a patient at Children’s Hospital. It was fun to write a song on the spot for her and she really enjoyed it.
