In Loving Memory of Kevin O’Toole

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend, champion, volunteer and Board Member Kevin O’Toole.

Kevin’s passion for MOC’s mission led him to our organization, where he served as a Volunteer Musician and member of our National Board of Directors since 2013. He was a compassionate leader who was greatly admired and respected in his role as Secretary and was recently elected as Vice Chairperson. His dedication and vision helped MOC build the foundation to be a best-in-class organization that exceeds industry standards in all areas, especially in our programs. He was the type of Board Member every organization wants, but few are fortunate enough to find.

Kevin delivers the healing power of music at Froedtert Hospital.

As a Volunteer Musician, Kevin used his musical talents to bring smiles and comfort to hundreds of patients in New York City, Nashville and Milwaukee. Musicians On Call was honored to launch a Music Pharmacy in his name at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, where he received treatment. With his enthusiastic support, and of course his music, we also started a Bedside Performance Program at Froedtert in 2019. It was only fitting that we give him the healing power of music in his time of need, just like he helped us do for hundreds of thousands of patients across the country. Throughout his life, and his fight, music was with him and brought him so much happiness.

We will be forever grateful to have Kevin O’Toole in the Musicians On Call family. It’s our honor to celebrate his legacy as we continue to bring live music to hospitals across the country and live out his mantra, to “Dance like no one is watching.”

Donations can be made in his honor here.
