LISTEN: Elvis Duran and The Morning Show Share Their Favorite MOC Moments

On Friday, in anticipation of our upcoming event, the #1 syndicated morning radio show, Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, took some time to share their own MOC moments from over the years!

First up was our Leadership In Music Honoree Elvis Duran who shared a story from his program last year with American Idol winner Nick Fradiani.

Have you ever watched a flower wake up with the sunshine? You would watch this patient, this little girl, I’ll never forget. He started singing and Nick Fradiani’s beautiful voice was filling this room with so much warmth. You watched her respond and she just woke up. And they said she hadn’t done that in weeks.

Later on, a fan of the show called in to share the story of her friend who was visited by Avril Lavigne through Musicians On Call!

She was always in and out of hospitals, in and out of school…with the outcome not looking so good, she wasn’t always in the best of moods, but that was one of the things that made her the happiest. Just helping her through it.

Morning show co-host, Danielle Monaro, also wanted to share her experience at Avril’s Bedside Performance Program.

I was the hospital when Avril was there and there was a little girl who wanted to be fashion designer. And she had made all these designs on paper and Avril took the time to go in there to look at them, to make the girl feel good, to show the girl she was interested. And this little girl was so excited, it was…what an unbelievable moment.
