Inspiring Others to Deliver the Healing Power of Music

September means another year back to school, where some, like Tracy Bancroft and her son, use as an opportunity to give back!

Volunteering with us as a Guide for over 7 years, Tracy has had quite a few MOC Moments that have impacted her. She has inspired those around her to support MOC, including her son’s kindergarten class, who organized a local fundraiser! With their help, she has become a member of the Backstage Pass Club by sponsoring a hospital room to receive the healing power of music!

As a Volunteer, Tracy Bancroft has the privilege of getting to know the hospital patients before the Musician is invited in the room. Every patient has a story to tell and you never have a program absent of MOC Moments.

Here is one of our favorite MOC Moments Tracy has helped make happen!

An older gentleman looked at both of us and said your visit really just brightened my night. He then told us that he got some bad news today. His family couldn’t get into the city to be with him so he was alone. With this bad news, all alone. I asked him if he was okay and he said he was better now that we were there and that he will be okay because he’s a fighter. I told him I liked his style. We smiled at each other and said goodnight. I don’t think I will ever forget him. His gratitude made him shine with hope.

Thanks, Tracy, for your incredible support and dedication to the healing power of music!
