MUSICIANS ON CALL BRINGS THE GRAND OLE OPRY TO HOSPITALIZED VETERANS WITH TERRI CLARK

Multi-Platinum selling country star Terri Clark joined Musicians On Call (MOC) to perform for Veterans at the Nashville VA hospital last night. The visit was in partnership with the Grand Ole Opry, which is celebrating its 90th anniversary, and its Circle Throwdown, which brings impromptu performances with Opry artists and a replica of the famed six-foot Opry Circle of wood symbolizing the oak center stage at the Opry House to new locations across the country. Clark serenaded Veterans with her hits including “Now That I Found You” and “No Fear” at MOC’s Bedside Performance Program, where volunteer musicians across the country have delivered the healing power of music to nearly half a million patients, families and caregivers.

“Being a part Musicians On Call for our Veterans was one of the most gratifying and joyful experiences I’ve had in my life as a musician,” said Terri Clark. “It’s easy to take for granted what we enjoy and do every day, but moments like these are what it’s really all about.  The universal language and a magical moment in time.”

“We’re so fortunate to have country music icon Terri Clark donate her time and talent to support the healing power of music for our Veterans,” said Pete Griffin, MOC President. “We’re proud to partner with the Opry to make moments like this even more special.”

Clark’s visit had her performing at the bedsides of over 35 Veterans in the Nashville VA hospital delivering the healing power of music. One patient, so moved by her performance and visit, even joined her side for several stops to sing along. To date, MOC volunteers have performed for over 23,000 Veterans and family members and climbing.
