Musicians On Call Welcomes Four Industry Leaders To National Board Of Directors

Musicians On Call is pleased to welcome the newest members of its National Board of Directors: Senior Vice President – Brand Partnerships for Maverick Management Alisann Blood, EVP of Marketing for Live Nation Clubs & Theaters Alex Merchan, President of Parma Ventures Tim Scarvey, and Vice President of G7 Entertainment Marketing Rick Whetsel.

They have each already provided so much value to our mission and their expertise will be invaluable to the work of the board. We are thrilled to have them join our incredible group of influential industry leaders,” said Musicians On Call President & CEO Pete Griffin.

Blood brings more than a decade of brand partnerships experience to the Board. As Senior Vice President – Brand Partnerships she leads the marketing efforts and strategic partnerships for brands and artists including Madonna, Florida Georgia Line, The Weeknd, Miley Cyrus, Britney Spears and more. Prior to working with Maverick Management she held various marketing and partnership roles at Crush Music, Capitol Music Group and Steve Madden. Blood has been working with Musicians On Call on strategic partnerships since 2010 and served as an Advisory Board Member and Volunteer Guide in New York.

In his role with Live Nation Clubs & Theaters, Merchan oversees all marketing efforts for the Club & Theater Division, which includes such legendary venues as the Fillmore venues, House of Blues clubs, the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, Irving Plaza in New York and The Tabernacle in Atlanta. Prior to joining Live Nation, Merchan spent 10 years with Hard Rock International where he secured strategic promotional partnerships with leading global artists and successfully brought the Hard Rock brand into mainland China. Merchan has been involved with Musicians On Call since 2007 and previously served on the Advisory Board for the Miami market. He has also been a member of The Recording Academy (NARAS and LARAS) since 2006.

Scarvey is President of Parma Ventures, focusing on investments in continuum of care innovations, disruptive technology, board service and philanthropic support to healthcare delivery systems. He has held various management roles within the healthcare industry for more than 25 years, including 22 years at HCA. Scarvey is board certified in healthcare management, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and works with multiple community and industry organizations besides Musicians On Call, including the United Way of Williamson County, the Nashville Health Care Council and ACHE of Middle Tennessee.

Whetsel is a 26-year veteran of the entertainment industry, with experience in promoting and producing events, owning and operating venues and developing artists. He founded Great Big Shows and spent two decades producing concerts and events. In 2012 Whetsel partnered with two advertising executives to start G7 Entertainment Marketing, where he currently serves as Vice President. G7 Entertainment Marketing is a full-service agency committed to creating relationships between brands and artists. Whetsel has been involved in event production and fundraising for Musicians On Call for nearly 10 years.
