Musicians On Call Named a 2021 Classy Awards Top 50 Finalist

We are excited to announce that Musicians On Call has been named a Top 50 Finalist for the 2021 Classy Awards!

Classy, online fundraising software for nonprofits, launched the Classy Awards in 2009 to recognize the achievements of nonprofits and social enterprises operating in our communities and around the world, and to shine a spotlight on the new strategies, creative thinking, and ideas that move the needle on some of the biggest issues our world faces today. We’re proud to share that our Virtual Bedside Performance Program has been recognized for delivering the healing power of music in healthcare facilities nationwide.

COVID-19 visitor restrictions created increasingly challenging hospital conditions for patients who were isolated from loved ones and healthcare workers faced with the overwhelming stress of caring for patients through a pandemic. This made the mental, emotional and physical benefits of live music highly critical for everyone in hospitals. By innovating and expanding the virtual program, MOC broke through the barriers of the pandemic and provided a sense of familiarity to the people who needed it the most.

The social sector at large experienced immense challenges in 2020 to drive their missions forward, but through our virtual program, our team was still able to keep the music playing and bring welcome relief to more than 150,000 people during the pandemic.

This year, 13 Classy Awards will be distributed across four categories: Social Innovation, Adapt & Overcome, Lifetime Achievement, and People’s Choice. We encourage you to vote for our virtual program in the People’s Choice category! Voting is open until June 25. Winners will be announced September 28, and we look forward to sharing updates with our community then.
