Do you have any hidden talents? I can remember all sorts of random, mostly useless information!

What is your story? What connects you with music and why do you volunteer with MOC? Music has been an integral part of my life ever since I can remember – whether it was listening to the radio, attending concerts, singing with a choir, or learning to play an instrument. I always felt for myself that music could soothe, excite, or inspire me and give voice to complex feelings. But I really learned the healing power of music when my mom was in the throes of Alzheimer’s. Playing her favorite music brought her back to herself, and to us, when otherwise she was completely out of reach. I volunteer with MOC to share my passion for music and hopefully bring some comfort to the patients who tune in.
