How long have you been volunteering with Musicians On Call? 10 Years

Are you a Volunteer Guide or Volunteer Musician? Musicians

What is your favorite song to play for patients? Bring It On Home (we have over 50 songs)

Have you ever been part of an impromptu jam session with patients or family in a hospital room? We’ve had patients, nurses, and visitors sing with us!

Do you perform anywhere else besides with MOC? Wineries and Farmers Markets

What is your occupation outside of MOC? Vinnie is retired from AT&T. John is a DRPA HVAC mechanic.

Do you have any hidden talents? Vinnie’s hidden talent is wood working. John (not so) hidden talent is music!

What is your story? What connects you with music and why do you volunteer with MOC? We have always loved music! We are self-taught guitar players. MOC gives our music a purpose and it affects many people’s lives, even if only for a few minutes. We believe in the healing power of music; we feel very fortunate to be part of MOC program!!

What makes MOC different from your other volunteer experiences? You get face to face contact with patients and staff. You get that great one on one connection with people!

Has your life changed because of your experience with MOC? Absolutely! Makes you more aware of other peoples struggles and obsticales!

What is your favorite #MOCmoment? This is a tough question because we’ve had sooo many! It seems everytime we play there is always a memorable moment! EVERY time we play!!!
