Kristen Bell brings the magic of Frozen to the bedside, as seen on GMA!

Musicians On Call and Hyundai Hope on Wheels recently brought the world of Disney’s Frozen to the halls of UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital, bringing the joy of music and movies to pediatric cancer patients with help from everyone’s favorite winter princess, Anna! This special visit was recently featured on Good Morning America!

MOC transformed the hospital’s playroom into a winter wonderland inspired by Frozen, complete with snowflake lighting, illuminated trees, winter-themed floor decals and hanging snowflakes. Snowflake- and Olaf-shaped cookies were waiting for the kids, along with capes, crowns and tiaras to help them step into a world inspired by Arendelle.

And then came a surprise they never saw coming: Kristen Bell, the iconic voice of Anna of Arendelle.

Kristen’s visit was kept a secret, so the kids and their families had no idea just how special their day was about to become. When Kristen walked in, the room immediately came alive.

Bell spent time visiting with patients and their families before the children were treated to a special screening of Frozen. She treated attendees to a performance of a cappella songs from the movie, prompting many of the children to sing along to the music they knew and loved.

But the magic didn’t stop in the playroom.

After the group performance, Kristen headed to the oncology unit for special MOC Bedside visits with several patients. At each bedside, she took the time to have genuine, candid conversations, learning about the patients, their interests and the people who were there supporting them.

For patients and families navigating a hospital stay, the visits provided something incredibly valuable: a chance to simply be a kid, a parent, a family, even for a little while.

At one doorway, Kristen sang “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” to a patient from the hall, bringing a beloved Frozen song right into their room. She also handed out special Frozen dolls, leaving behind a tangible reminder of an extraordinary day.

From a playroom transformed into Arendelle to a favorite song sung at a patient’s bedside, the day was filled with moments of joy, surprise and connection.
