Why Lou Is Helping MOC

With the launch of our Half A Million Moments campaign, we have heard some incredible stories from our supporters. Throughout the year, we’ve invited our supporters to bring their communities together and join the Backstage Pass Club. By raising $500 you could sponsor a room for one year where a volunteer visits weekly. I wanted to share one of the stories from our newest Backstage Pass Club member, Lou Tedesco, who just passed the threshold of raising over $12,000 thanks to his friends, colleagues, and loved ones, including his own generous donation of $2,000!

“I’ve played in a few hospitals throughout New York City, including the Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital, and cannot express the positive energy that this organization brings to bedside patients, and I believe completely in the important nature of MOC’s mission.

We  all certainly have either been in the hospital or have loved ones who have had extended stays at a hospital for a variety of reasons; the reality for many hospital patients is a sobering one.  The service MOC and its volunteers bring is noble – live, bedside entertainment, and the gift of music to those patients and their families who are many times in the midst of navigating the realities of their own personal challenging circumstances.” READ MORE

Thanks, Lou, for sharing your story, and helping Musicians On Call deck the halls of hospitals with music throughout the holiday season and year-round! You can join Lou in helping to MOC deliver the healing power of music by becoming a Backstage Pass Club Member!
