Musicians On Call Honors Rep. Adam Kinzinger and Rep. Ted Deutch with the Salute to Heroes Award at RIAA Holiday Party

For the sixth year, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) holiday party in Washington, D.C. supported Musicians On Call (MOC), supporting programs in the DC area and across the United States.

Prior to the benefit, Musicians On Call hosted an invite-only VIP reception, sponsored by NCTA, honoring Salute to Heroes awardees Rep. Adam Kinzinger and Rep. Ted Deutch as well as local DC MOC Volunteers Michelle Warshauer and Nick Stukel. The honorees each shared their own personal stories that connect them to the healing power of music as they were presented with their awards. Staff Sgt. Randy Wight closed the program with a vocal performance before the main event. The night was capped off with a show-stopping concert with multi-platinum supergroup Fifth Harmony at 9:30 Club.

Rep. Deutch, who is also a musician, stopped by Children’s National Medical Center the day before the event to deliver the healing power of music to patients in need.

Special thanks to RIAA, Musicians On Call National Board member Mitch Glazier and the entire DC Advisory board for helping celebrate the holidays and the healing power of music.
